Drayton Manor Park Logistics
Drayton Manor Park is one of the eleven start points for RTTW 2024 (route 1).
The ride will be led by the founder of RTTW Martin Dickinson and our patrons, followed by the flag bearers and pre-registered motorcycles.
Please ensure that the band issued with your DMP registration is worn on the rider's wrist before you reach DMP, so that it is clearly visible to the RTTW marshals.
To maintain safety and reduce waiting times for attendees both at DMP and the NMA, we have again limited numbers to 1000 pre-registered motorcycles in this group.
Flag bearers please note.
- Your flag must be fitting for the occasion, i.e. national flag or military flag.
- Motorcycle club flags must be in keeping with the occasion.
- Only flag bearers will ride with the lead group.
- If you wish to ride with friends that do not have flags, then please park up with them and the rest of the ride.
Drayton manor park will be open to pre-registered motorcycles from 09.00 am and outside catering will be on site if needed.
Any motorcycles arriving at DMP without a DMP wristband will be denied entry and will be redirected to the NMA.
We would ask that you arrive at DMP no later than 11.30 am. The ride (route 1) to the NMA will depart from DMP at 12.15 pm prompt.
Disability riders on bikes / trikes.
NOTE: this is different to previous years:
- If you need hard standing at the NMA, please can you fit something to your bike, trike to identity you better, so we can direct you to the main NMA parking for hard standing.
- To help you, we have some disability RTTW headlight stickers to fit to your headlight.
- You can pick one up from any of the 11 start points around the UK (DMP included).
- We have set up two RTTW marshals on parking duties to help, you can identify the two RTTW marshals by the yellow baseball hats with "disability liaison marshal" on the front.
- You will have to show your blue badge to the RTTW marshals to receive a RTTW blue badge headlight sticker.
- When you get to the NMA and need hard standing, head to the main gate and not into the top entrance to the NMA parking fields.
If your bike is fitted with blue lights, please leave them switched off during the ride to the NMA.
Please do not attempt to "High Five" any spectators as you pass them, as it risks causing an accident.
It is always the intention to park all riders from DMP inside the NMA parking lot, but due to changing circumstances throughout the morning, there is no guarantee that this will happen.
Please follow the directions of the RTTW marshals when you reach the NMA.
Please take a moment to read the ride and route information to ensure a safe & trouble free ride for all.
Keep an eye on this website and Facebook for further updates and we look forward to seeing you on the first Saturday in October.
